USFans is a review desk. We order products at retail, test them in our Austin lab, and publish scores only after our testing team has physically handled the unit. We do not accept payment for reviews, and we do not sell placement in buying guides.

Our writers and editors may not hold financial interests in the companies whose products we test. Any potential conflict is disclosed at the top of the article.

We use a five-point scale across all reviews: 5 excellent, 4 good, 3 adequate, 2 poor, 1 very poor. Hands-on scores use the full 1 to 5 scale. We write scores as X / 5.

Affiliate links are clearly labeled. Commission rates do not influence product selection or scores.
